Chev Corvette Car Answers1979 Corvette Drive Train & Driveline OtherSpeedometer stopped working. (Bounced a while before.) Got new lower cable. When removed old cable at transmission there was just frayed wire, End of cable seems to be broken off inside. Not enough there to grab with needle nose pliers. Thought I could just pull sleeve out and remove from behind. Loosend bolt and retainer clip but sleeve won't pull out. Was afraid to force it and didn't want to damage threads.
