1995 Chev Corsica Other - Electrical & Lighting Systems

Question: Where is the flasher unit on the Corsica 95. I know that we have a hazard unit under the dash board but I can't find the other place of the flasher unit. Thanks Yvon

Technican: It is located under the dash and mounted on the drivers side of the steering column.
Owner: I've already look every where under the dash around the steering column and never saw that device. Did you ever change this unit ?
Technican: I don't know if I worked on the exact year or not. It should have it's own bracket and may be somewhat hidden behind wiring harnesses, etc There may have been a panel that had to be removed. Which engine do you have? When my tech site comes back online I'll look at the actual gm component locator.
Owner: Chevrolet corsica 1995 2.2L Short Story, A broken spring of my "turn signal switch assembly" run loose and made a short contact that burst the flasher unit. My GM proviser told me that it exist two units on this car, one for the hazard and the other one for the flasher. I saw the exploded picture of this electric sector and it look like the flasher unit was not on the convinience center under the dash but fixed on the side of something. I change the assembly and check the unit of the hazard on the convinience center and the hazard work fine. But I am unable to locate the other unit. It's why I ask for help. Does my story help you?
Technican: Hi; They gave you the answer. It is located under the dash on the drivers side of the steering column. You have to remove the front panel to get to it. If you don't see it, then most likely it is hidden behind a wiring harness. .
Owner: Thanks and John, I'll let you know exactly where it is. You can't see it from nowhere so... You have to unscrew the two bolts of the convenience center (under the dash, driver side) and remove it completely to find the flasher unit hiden on the back top of it. The unit is mounted on a clip device with enaught cable to clip it anywhere else for better access the next time. Yvon
