Technican: Hello, Automatic transmission? Your torque converter clutch control solenoid needs replaced inside the transmission pan. It is sicking and the torque converter clutch is not releasing when you stop. The result is just like stopping a manual shift car in gear without releasing the foot (manual) clutch.
After your car cools down the solenoid finally releases the clutch and you can go again until it sticks again.
