1997 Chev Camaro Won't Start - General

Question: My camaro sometimes will not start. When it does start it will run normally for a while but sometimes while your driving down the road it will shut off. There appear to be some sensors in a box under the hood could it be one of those or is it a bigger problem. I am having one of the times it will not start right now. The engine turns over but will not fire.

Technican: This is actually a tough one, it could be sooo many things. First you will have to make sure that the fuel pump is working properly, check the fuel lines for any defects/leaks and then make sure you are getting spark to the plugs. The easiest thing to do first is check to see if the electric fuel pump in the gas tank "cycles". Have someone cyle the key to the "on" position, not "START" and have a listen at the tank for the pump to cycle, it will make a buzzing sound for a sec. or 2. Other than that....is there any check engine lights on? You may have to bite the bullet and let a "good" mechanic take a look at it. !!!

Owner: Would it make a diffrence if I told you for the most part, until this most recent time, when I would jiggle around those sensors, the car would then start?

Technican: hmmm, can u trace down which one, sometimes when u disconnect the connectors, The wires "pull" out of their places a bit. Just make sure all connections are secure, 'bout all I can say at this time, sorry
