1995 Chev Camaro Won't Start - Engine

Question: 1995 camero, when you put the key in the car wont turn over, the battery is good, we checked the fuses and the relays we could get to, also the lights will work but the windows, radio and gauges dont have power and before this started the radio stayed on after the car was turned off, was this normal. We just bought the car a month ago for our daughter.

Technican: sounds like you may have one of 2 possible problems.... 1. your ignition switch might be bad (not the key cylinder) 2.your starter might be bad but that shouldnt affect your electronics in the car I am leaning towards a bad ignition switch as that would affect your interior concerns you can contact me at after accepting this reply if I can be of further assistance. Technican: I take it there is no current warranty. A few questions to get us started. Which engine do you have, 3.4, 3.8, or 5.7L? Do any of the in dash warning lights come on as they normally do? Will the power windows or radio work with the key in the accessory position? It is also important when checking fuses to use a test light to be certain there is power on both sides of the fuse. Just to be sure, you have checked battery connections, grounds, etc.

Owner: to Douglas: enginge is a 3.4, the dash warning lights dont come on, nor does the radio or windows work when key is turned to accesory or any position.
