| make | Chevrolet | | model | Cavalier | | year | 1997 | | what | I Was Driving And My Car Just Shut Down...my Girl Owned It And Never Did Anything To But Long Story Short I Pull In A Parking Lot And Turned The Key Of Tried To Restart And It Wouldnt...i Waited For An Hour And Now I Get Backfire Through The Throttle Body...had It Towed Home And Started To Pull It Apart And Check Timing Chain..well When All Said And Done With New Chain Its Is Doing The Same Thing...i Replaced The Coil Pack With A Used One..but The Car Had No Spark Put My Coil Pack Back On Had Spark...tried Another Coil Pack Same Thing...the Ignition Module I Think Is The Problem But I Cant Afford 250.00 For A New One..would This Cause My Backfire??? this is a 2.2l engine or is it possiable the valves are bent??? |
