1989 Engine Toyota 4 cyl 2.0 Fli have a 1989 toyota celica st 2.0 4 cyl engine. the car will idle fine however when i exelerate the car will misfire. no fumes other than a strong smell of gas r exiting my tailpipe and it misfires the most in the morning when the car is a little cold(70 deg. f)once i reach a crusing speed the car will for the most part not misfire. it has a new fuel filter and as far as we can tell gets plenty of gas. what could cause this?

1993 Pontiac prixi have a 1993 pontiac grand prix. it has the 3.1l v6. we bought it off a couple that said they ran it out of gas and the fuel pump was bad. so i put new pump and still no start, then i put a fuel filter tryed it nothing then i put a new fuel pressure regulator in still nothing, then i put coil packs on it and a crank postion sensor and tryed it and nothing.now today just went and bought a new ecm for it and still will not start. ive also put new plugs in it. it trys when it first crank over but the it just cranks and never trys again. please i need help it my moms car and she dont have much money left or time till her other car locks up. thanks all help would be great thanks.
