98 Ford 98 explorerI have a 98 ford explorer with a 4.0 L engine, When I excell from a stop, the engine vibrates and sound as if it is starving for fuel, once I get past first gear all seems fine. When I start off with gear select in drive one, the engine is not hard to excell. There is also now a slight smell off over heating. Engine light is on, I do not know the codes or how to retrieve the codes.
97 Chevrolet cavalierturned on cruise which hadnt been used in a very long time. It kept speeding up and didnt want to shut off. Now car idle wont return to normal, keeps hovering around 1.5 rpm and fluctuating. Have pulled fuse and all vacuum lines and neg battery terminal. nothing worked

1994 Engine Ford 1994 f 700 fordon my 1994 f 700 7.o gas truck ran out of gas. so i pit some gas in it.then when i crank it up it got flooded. so i waited ,then kick it in and started. so we strarted it and took off atfter i took off it started to whistle and would go about 35 like it wanted to jump to the fourth gear but wouldnt . so i change the fuel filter and runs a little better but it continues to not go fast and it kicks the pedal towards me. dont know what else to try
2004 Ford Explorer LMy Ford Explorer hesitates on acceleration. Ford Dealer found it needed the #8 coil replaced (I did it), it still hesitates and now check engine light is on. Codes found upon diagnostic test at Ford Dealer: P0308, P2197 and P2196. It does ok if I am at a consistent speed but when I go from 20-45, it starts to chug. I am assuming the coil did not fix the problem...
1998 Engine GMC 1998 gnc 454I have a friend that has a 1998 gmc 3/4 ton pickup that has a stalling problem the truck runs fine for a while maybe 20 to 40 miles apx then dies only when warm does this occur. No codes the ign module has been changed coil fuel pump and multiple sensors. after shut down and let set for apx 20 minutes it starts and runs fine sometimes runs longer until quits. it has thritle body fuel injection. any help would be apreciated. thanks

1992 Oldsmobile 98I have a 1992 old 98 touring with a supercharger. oil pressure is about 50 28 mpg. The car if left to ideal will not knock. BUT when driven about 25 miles a knock come into it. I have had it to mech and trans. places and they just look and say i do not know. The knock is a deep sound. You had a buick with the same problem but I could not get to the answer.

1996 Subaru legacymy 1996 subaru legacy was having acceleration problem, so we brought it in they did a tune up replaced a fuel injector and told us that we needed a mass airflow sensor. We replaced the maf (with a rebuilt mafs) everything seemed fine, got it out onto the highway and about 7 miles later hopped off on an exit, tried to accelerate and just about nothing, then suddenly it started backfiring. <- it was not backfiring before we replaced the maf. 1999 AMC Parts That Crack In Taurus And Cause Engine Replacementmy 1999 taurus SE was driven running HOT and finally woulld not crank or turnover at all. I had to have it towed and was told the engine had to be replaced. Tire Depot showed me a steel figure eight shaped but imagine one side of the figure eight part or piece was flat or straight. It was also very rusty. Is this a cracked something? I am trying to reidentify the part or piece so I can call to see if it is fixable rather than engine replacement?

1994 Ford My XLT Explorer has 182,000 miles. It has been going on for approximately 8 months. Start the engine and the engine surges while in park and in gear. I can hear some backfiring before the surging. I have replaced the AIC valve. When I unplug the AIC, the engine idles low and does not surge. When the AIC is plugged in the surging continues. A mechanic said the Computer was bad. It still continues.... Please help

1994 Ford Probe SE 2.0L Car starts up and idles fine but sometimes when i try to take off it dies other times (if i let it warm up a few minutes) it will run fine till i turn it off. On start up it idles rough goes down to about 200rpm then bounces to 800rpm i try to keep it above 1,000rpm by giving it gas.. i manage to keep it going to till i get on the open road but when i step on the gas its laggy and if i floor it there is a popping like small backfires then it picks up slowly.. if i keep revving it eventually the problem stops for the duration of the drive. Also if i turn on the air it keeps the car idling from 1,000rpm too 1,250rpm kinda bounces but it doesnt always work sometimes it makes it worse.. I have my fan hooked up to a switch right now.. i find that if i turn the fan on while im idling it messes with the rpms but if i turn in on while im driving it doesnt effect anything. On start up my belts always screech till i rev the engine.. the air being turned on causes it rarely too and the fan. The car does die and makes me wait 10-15 minutes before it will start again (every now and again sence i changed the spark plugs and wires its more rare)...... think that covers it all....

It seems to die more after the car warms up. It does not overheat. It used to only die at idle bit now dies even when driving. Like i said it starts right back up.
